Bear Trap Design is an interior design firm known for classic design and comfortable living. It began in 2002, after Tami Holsten designed and general contracted her family’s custom log home building project. Friends began to talk to others about its unique and creative designs and word of mouth began to spread. Soon Tami was receiving job offers for design and project management services.

Thus, a company was born and as it was in full operation, Tami earned her degree in Interior Design and a certification in Kitchen and Bath Design. She is currently an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and an AKBD member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBD).

Throughout the last decade, BTD has flourished as a design firm and Tami has been recognized as an award-winning designer. BTD continues to thrive from referrals, except now, it is the friends of clients who are talking to others and spreading the word.

As the daughter of an Interior Designer, I grew up in a house that was always changing whether it be paint color, furnishings or furniture placement. It wasn’t until I started working in the design field that I realized how many people live with white walls and beige carpet. I want to inspire those people and transform their space into something they really love. – Tami Holsten, Bear Trap Design
